D'Angelo Elliott claims Dominican Rep. LDC Hoops Agents weekly honour

American D'Angelo Elliott (196-G) had a great game in the last round for LDC Ignite PP and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The guard had the game-high 25 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for LDC Ignite in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Verano (#2, 2-2) 116-112. LDC Ignite maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Dominican Rep. LDC. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. LDC Ignite have already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. Elliott turned to be LDC Ignite's top player in his first season with the team. Temple College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Elliott is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (9th best: 5.9rpg) and assists (8th best: 3.3apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Roinel Emmuel of second-ranked Torneo de Verano. Emmuel impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Verano was edged by slightly lower-ranked LDC Ignite (#3, 2-7) 116-112. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Western. Verano still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Emmuel is a newcomer at Verano and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another LDC Ignite's star - American Cody Hoeth (196-F). Hoeth scored 29 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of LDC Ignite PP, helping his team with a 116-112 win against #2 ranked Verano. LDC Ignite can only dream about fighting for top spots in Western. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hoeth has a very solid season. In 9 games in Dominican Republic he scored 15.1ppg. He also has 5.7rpg and and 3PT: 42.9%.
